TERMS AND CONDITIONS

§ 1

General

1. Platform 14 takes place in Uferstudios Berlin and is a production of Fenster zum Osten-shibak sharqi gGmbH.

2.  The subject of the Platform is to present a short piece from various styles of dance and aims at supporting and promoting emerging dance artists.

 3.  The planned schedule of the Platform

a.       announcement of the 7th edition of the Platform: 15.02.2026

b.       deadline for applications: 15.03.2026

c.       announcement of the participants: 30.04.2026

d.      Workshop and performances: 10.-16.08.2026

4.  The information about the final schedule of the Platform will be sent to the participants no later than 30th of June 2026. The Platform reserves the right to make any amendments in the schedule of the Platform. .

§ 2

The application

 1.      One artist can submit multiple pieces. Each piece should be submitted as a separate application.

2.     When submitting an application:

a.   The application form should be filled out correctly and submitted through web page https://www.platformfourteen.com/applynow in English or German.

b.    The application must be submitted by the artist who choreographed the piece.

3. Questions concerning the conditions of participation in the Platform may be sent to: platform14.info@gmail.com

4.    Incomplete applications or applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

5. Selections will be made based on criteria established by the Platform 14 artistic team, considering factors such as style, theme, narrative, and overall program curation.

6.    The Platform will inform the participants via email.

7. The Platform shall not be held responsible for the results of errors in application form made by the applicant.

8. The Platform reserves the right to accept or reject any application at its sole discretion. The artistic team is not obligated to provide individual feedback, justification, or explanation regarding the selection or rejection of applications. By submitting an application, applicants acknowledge and agree that the selection process is final and that no correspondence or appeals regarding the outcome of the selection will be entered into.

§ 3

Presentation and Rights of Use

By submitting, applicants grant the organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide right to:

• publicly present the submitted work as part of the festival,

• use images and video provided in the application process for reporting, documentation, and promotion of the festival (including print, website, social media and digital platforms). By participating in Platform 14, the artist grants the festival the right to record, photograph, and film the performance, and to use such photo and video documentation of the performance, including sound, for non-commercial promotional purposes (including website, social media, trailers, and archival documentation).

All other rights remain with the authors.

§ 4

Payment for Platform 14 participants

1. The exact sum for payment will be announced to the participants no later than 30th of May 2026.

2. The payment will take place after the performance day.

3. Any taxes related to the payment should be deducted according to the appropriate tax law.

4. The Platform will provide catering during the performance day.

5. The Platform will provide the artists with video and photo material taken on the performance day.                                                          

§ 5

Final resolutions 

1.      The act of submitting the application form is equal to Platform 14 participant’s acceptance of the Platform Conditions and Regulations stated here.

2.      The act of submitting the application form is equal to Platform 14 participant’s consent to The Platform making use of the personal data in order to organise and conduct the Platform. Appropriate statements together with the information right clause can be found in the application form on the Platform’s website.

3.      The participant of the Platform has the right to access to their personal data as well as the right to rectification, erasure, restrict processing of the data, the right to data portability, to object to the processing of the data, the right to withdraw consent to the processing of the data at any time but not affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

4.      Personal Data received by the Platform shall be collected and processed solely for the purpose of conducting the Platform.

5.      Providing personal data is voluntary, but necessary and lack of consent for its processing in accordance with above stated purposes will result in disqualification of the applicant.

6.      The Platform reserves the right to publish participant’s name, surname, image and general information about the participant as well as the right to place the mentioned above information in advertising and informative materials, such as the Platform’s publications, website and information profiles run by the Platform.

7. Artists are solely responsible for obtaining valid travel & health insurance. The festival and its organizers assume no liability for any bodily injuries or accidents and damaged or lost items during participation in the event.

8. Artists are solely responsible for obtaining valid travel documents in case of travel from abroad. Platform 14 can provide the selected artists with an invitation letter if needed.

8.    The Platform reserves the right to make any amendments in the Regulations during the Platform and takes an obligation to immediately publish the changed Regulations in the places where the Platform Regulations were published before.

9.    The Platform reserves the right to cancel or discontinue the Platform at any time without providing any explanation.
